Got a question?

I’ve never done a Yoga class before, is it good for first-timers?
Of course, we’re a very welcoming and friendly studio  that caters for a lot of newbies and first timers. Our teachers have the best knowledge and skill to make your class comfortable yet challenging. Don’t hesitate to ask the teacher a question if you are unsure of anything. A lot of the classes are designed for beginners.

Where is Jangala Yoga and how do I get there?

We’re located at 14A Cross Hill, Hemswoth, Pontefract, WF9 4LQ. It’s a high street shop located next to Unit 1 Hair & Design and Woodall Brothers as you go into town from the Barnsley Road, near the A628. We’re on the same side as the Blue Bell Pub.

Can I park at Jangala?
Yes there is free parking in a car park opposite that’s part of Iceland & Home Bargains, there’s no restrictions and plenty of parking spaces. The other option is to park at the big Tesco’s.

What is the minimum age for attending a class at Jangala?
At the moment 16 is the youngest age to attend a class but there is progressive talks to take on a teen yoga class soon.

Do I have to book a class online to attend or can I just turn-up?

To attend a class you must register and book online through our booking system as we have limited spacing in the studio and need to provide a fair system for everyone to book/attend a class.

How much are the classes?

There are a number of different payment options which can all be purchased through our online booking system to pay via credit/debit card, paypal or stripe. These include pay as you go classes and block booking classes. We’re aiming to be a cashless studio. If you have trouble with paying online we have a back-up contactless card payment reader at the studio.

What should I wear?

Something comfortable and easy to move around in, maybe something you might wear to a gym, maybe even some funky leggings, but I’d probably leave the heels at home.

Are there changing rooms, lockers and showers?
Unfortunately there is no showering facility but there is a place to leave your coats, bags and belongings, and a toilet big enough for one person to get changed in if you haven’t had time to change before the class. We highly recommend turning up ready to flow.

When should I arrive for my class?

In order for things to run smoothly we highly recommend turning up to class about 10/15mins beforehand to allow time to settle on your mat, calm your breath, and prepare for the class. We understand lateness can occur but please be aware - any more than 10mins late and you may not be able to take part in the class which will be at the teacher’s discretion to let you in the studio or not.
